You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. some may be significant only to you. some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience. - President Hinckley

Halloween!

So, we had a good halloween...trunk or treat saved us from doing any houses (except our neighbor's Nancy and Bill) and the kids scored a ton of candy! Hunter was a trash can - he's been waiting all month. Gwennie was the cutest little pumpkin you ever did see. And Tyler was a bumblebee that didn't want to bee anything....get it "bee"...ha! Here are a few pictures....there is one of Hunter and Gwennie with Nancy and Bill....

Little Mr. T.

You may at this moment be asking yourself, why is she posting yet another post - that would make for like 3 in this week alone....well, I will tell you why....it is because first of all I don't want to forget all of these wonderful things that occur on a daily basis and I feel that you are all craving to know what is happening in our home....

So tonight we stuck Gwendalin in the bathtub since it had been 3 days since her last bath and she reeked of "little sweaty girlness." So, she is sitting in the bath enjoying her calgon moment when moments later we hear "Mom, Tyler's in here." So, off I go to see what is happening - and yes, you guessed it - he was in the bath with her. He had gotten in fully clothed to enjoy that bliss of the evening bath.

So, I begin to strip him (after laughing and taking a few pictures) and I get to the diaper, which I know for sure is wet, since it had been a while since his last change, and low and behold more treats than just urine...yep, it was S-B-D: you guessed it....poo and more poo. I didn't know it was in there until after the diaper came off and now it was no longer in his diaper, but floating in the bath.

You will be glad to know that I cleaned it up ( yes with my hands - lovely) and got the kids clean water and really got them clean. Such fun times....such fun fun times. I assure you - you missed out since you didn't witness first hand...however, Tyler was thrilled (as you can see in the pictures) to be able to take a bath...he loves his baths.

Cars!

I wanted to take a moment and just list (for my benefit) all of the vehicles we have had in our 8 years of marriage: (I don't remember what year they all were)

  1. Ford Contour (gold/bronze) - great car
  2. Oldsmobile Alero (red) - great and sporty
  3. Toyota Forerunner (red) - gutless but fun to drive
  4. Chevy S-10 (purple) - we bought this from a foreigner on the side of the road....not quite that bad, but pretty bad!
  5. Ford Explorer (white) - super nice and fun...locked hunter in it when I was returning movies and forgot the keyless code to get back in...the fire people came and got me back in...so embarrassing!
  6. Ford Ranger (green) - good little truck...got stolen out of our garage.
  7. Chevy Truck (red) - we didn't keep this very long...but it was nice- it was Travis' grandpa's
  8. Nissan Frontier (gray) - bought this when the green ford was stolen
  9. Ford F-150 (maroon) - loved this one! I drove it for a long time, till the business needed it.
  10. Chevy Tahoe (gold) - this is what I drive now....love it love it love it.
  11. Ford F-250 (white) - diesel...Travis drove it for work
  12. Ford Taurus (green) - such a good car....very heavy - hugged the road nicely.
  13. GMC Denali Truck (white) - Travis' current work truck. (bought last week)
  14. Dodge Caravan (seafoam green) - drove it for like a month or 2 and then sold it.
Now keep in mind that these are only the vehicles that we actually drive. We have a few more currently (4 more) that I didn't list that we use for business purposes.... That is just a ridiculous list....that's like almost 2 cars per year....and I might've forgotten one...holy smokes.

For my mom...

My mom has a birthday on Monday. I wanted to write a quick little tribute...What a wonderful example she has been from growing up even until now. I can't imagine how I can even compare myself to being half the mother she has been to me.
I think she is a wonderful model to try to be like.
Mostly I love being in her presence. Everything is
always better when she is around. Happy Birthday mom!

HI-YAW!

So, last weekend Hunter was in a regional karate tournament (everyone wins at his age) he did really well on his form, weapon, and sparing...here's a few pictures. We were really proud of him. That's him kicking in the sparring picture. He's a little ninja!

chop chop chop

So I just decided on Saturday morning that change was due. And here is the result. Pardon the pictures - I took them myself. I know I am so vain. I just thought I'd get my "new look" out there. :) Love to all!

Some good funnies!

I am not stressed ever, but I came across these and thought they were cute.
