You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. some may be significant only to you. some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience. - President Hinckley

What happens when...

1. You have the most imaginative 5 year old boy and...

2. He thinks he might get thirsty at school so he packs in his backpack...

a ziplock bag full of water
(yes this is a ziplock bag full of water - recreated for the benefit of the blog reader)

Everything his teacher sent home was ruined...

Even though I told him last night that he could fill the bag with water only if he kept it in the sink....today he said he just forgot.

The joys of parenting!

I wouldn't trade it!

Way too entertaining!

Panda's

Why, do you think, is Panda Express so good? I have no idea why I am creating a blog about this, but I am currently craving their orange chicken...sad thing is - I live 10 + miles from the nearest one and I have 3 kids to drag along if I went.....Oh, don't you fret though, I have teamed up with my fantastic older sister and we are using teamwork to create Panda Express for our Thursday night dinner! Wahoo! I am sure you are all so happy for me...except Scottie who for some unheard of reason doesn't LOVE it like normal people. oh well. Off I go to eat some yummy fake Chinese food!

Diaper Bliss

She's a big girl now!

Gwennie has conquered the toilet! What's the big deal you say? Well, let me just tell you that changing one person's diapers for the day rather than 2 is a huge burden lifted.....ahhh just sit back and enjoy the blissful moment of happiness.

Hawaii

We just returned from a fantastic vacation (just Travis and I) to Maui Hawaii. It's nice to know that after 8 years and without our children around we still have things to talk about and we are still in love! What a fantastic man I married!

A quick overview:

*We took a submarine ride - saw lots of fish very cool!
*Went on a dinner cruise and watched a Maui sunset
*Lots of walks on the beach looking at sand crabs! (they are fast little suckers!)
*Flew to O'hau for the day and did Pearl Harbor : very sobering - every American should do it
*Took naps
*Ate at great restaurants like Ruth's Chris - with that comes a funny story....
So we are eating our fantastic steaks - (Ruth's Chris is a spendy GREAT steakhouse!) and another party of 7 enters asking if the menu is the same as Waikiki and Honolulu - they are thrilled to be there...and yet, 5 out of the 7 of the party ordered the macaroni and cheese....I about fell off my chair and later when we asked the waiter, he was a little perturbed as well....the moral of this story is - don't go to a upscale steakhouse where you should order a steak, and order macaroni and cheese.
*Drove the road to Hana and took a hike and watched people swimming in pools that came from waterfalls.
*Didn't talk about work - and we turned our phones off!
