You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. some may be significant only to you. some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience. - President Hinckley

Christmas 2010

This year was probably one of my favorite Christmases since I have been married ( aside from the first one, where Travis surprised me with a piano). I only put up a Christmas tree and the stockings....I was not stressed out about cleaning up or all the things that come with decking out the whole house in Christmas attire. Another year perhaps but not this one....it was simple and I loved it! We did our Christmas after Grandpa and Grandma came over. The kids were able to open their gifts with their company. Lucky for us Grandpa could put some of the toys together and Grandma took some good pictures. We feel very fortunate to have been able to have the Christmas that we did and are grateful that it was such a calm day! Travis got a lock picking practice board ( I bought the locks, dad drilled the holes and Matthew put them into the board) he was thrilled. Dallin didn't care if he got anything but he had a blast opening all of the gifts. Hunter got a soccer net, some BSU attire, and some other sports things, Gwennie got a walking dog, barbies, purse, etc. and Tyler got a scooter and criss cross crash! Success all around! Plus fantastic company for a divine dinner that evening!

Yay! Merry Christmas! Looks like a fun one! I know what you mean about setting up Christmas decorations and the stress of it all. My gift to myself last year was to NOT send out Christmas cards. I don't think your fam enjoyed Christmas any differently because the decorations were fewer.
