You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. some may be significant only to you. some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience. - President Hinckley

An ode to my sister

let me tell you about this amazing person that I am lucky enough to be related to... her name is Trish, but I call her Teton.

You might think that it must be her birthday or something for me to do an "ode." It isn't. She is "Ode-worthy" 366 days a year. Yes, that was 366, there is nothing wrong with your eyes. So I said I was going to tell you about her, here goes:

she is: the prettiest girl

the nicest mom

the best BIG sister

a perfect example of how to chill out on the couch and let the cleaning wait for you- she's not on the houses schedule, she won't be pressured into dishes, laundry, dusting, floor scrubbing, cooking, etc... no, not her... The only thing that waits for no man, is vacuming- and she makes the straightest, most lovely vacume lines you've ever seen.

The voice of an angel, the body of a greek goddess (a Rubenesque-zaftig greek goddess!), the humility of... something humble, and the integrity of... well don't trust her with your passwords, but other than that, she's as "integral" as they come!

And since she has hacked my blog... that's all there is to say~ it is very likely that marie will (and she should) remove this post... hopefully she is the only one who sees this in the meantime ;-) Love you sister!

Cute Hair and Random Pics

Gwennie got her hair cut this week and when she had school the day after the cut - she told us that everyone would surely be drooling over her because she was so beautiful. :) It is a very cute cut.

Tyler wanted his picture taken when I did some of Gwennie's hair, so he's in here with his shirt stuffed with underwear so he can be "bigger."

Dallin is a monster and is constantly in the office on the desk or the chair reeking havoc.

AH! He's bleeding...

Well, he's not really bleeding - he just loves to play in everything that is underneath my bathroom sink - he finally got the box of nail polish opened and then he opened a bottle of nail polish and put it on his head - in his hair. He was sure happy about it.

I would be...

Tag to all of you.

If I were a day of the week, I'd be Sunday.
If I were a time of the day, I'd be 8:30PM (kids are usually in bed and Travis and I are chillin).
If I were a direction, I would be confused like I am with any direction.
If I were a tree I would be a weeping willow.
If I were a tool, I would be a tire gauge - then maybe I'd know how to use it right.
If I were a flower, I would be any rose.
If I were a musical instrument I would be a piano.
If I were a color I would be green .
If I were a fruit, I would be a strawberry.
If I were an element, I would be sunshine.
If I were a food, I would be a sweet potato.
If I were a place, I would be Hawaii or London.
If I were a material, I would be anything that needs no iron.
If I were a scent, I would be fresh cut grass or brand new baby.
If I were an object, I would be a kid's bike- they are so happy on bikes, or an iPod- they make people happy too.
If I were a song, I would be Sieze the Day - from Newsies or Somewhere Over the Rainbow by the Hawaiian Guy.

Relaxing...

We've been spending a lot of time relaxing lately - well the kids have. Travis and I are too stressed to relax really, but we love watching them do it. :) We have been sick around here so there have been lots of baths, we stayed home from church on Sunday, and we've done lots of "lounging." I got a bath pillow and face mask from my parents for Christmas. My kids love to bathe in my bathtub - it's jetted...they hate the jets really, but love the size of mine compared to theirs. So, they tried out all of my relaxing bath toys that mom and dad gave me. Tyler didn't really get the idea of the mask, he tried to see out of it when I took his picture. Hunter decided to be Rambo on Sunday when we were home from church : protective chest gear and helmet before he used his Nerf machine gun. Dallin just mostly wanders around from person to person to see what he should be doing next. ANyway, lots of inventive ways to pass "sick time" - they even used headbands to "fight" one night....yes, that led to lots of tears....I hope it makes for good memories for them later...I have lots of great memories like that from my childhood. Oh and we repainted the middle of Gwendalin's room - the border that was there had to go...it was hideous.
