You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. some may be significant only to you. some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience. - President Hinckley

The "Paps"

We have had Jethro for about 10 years.  He has been trained in bird hunting and has been a wonderful addition to our clan!  At the end of last year Travis started to notice that he was getting pretty worn down after each hunt and would come home and not be able to move very well for the course of the next several days.  So, in light of the pain that it would cause him to hunt (although he is still very good and loves to do it) Travis won't take him anymore and will just take Aggie (she is 6 years younger than Jethro)  - It upsets the "Big Pap" (as we call him) when Aggie goes hunting with Travis but he still is able to move around and therefore we feel a better choice for him to be home.  Even with this cold weather he is struggling with what appears to be arthritis in his hips.   He is the most gentle dog - and it's sad to see him age - so hard.
