You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. some may be significant only to you. some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience. - President Hinckley

Wilson Arch or Williams Arch? Can't remember

On our way to Colorado for GP Slade's reunion, we went through Utah - the way I used to go growing up.  We stopped at this arch ( I can't remember what it's called but it's just passed the Hole in the Rock).  Anyway, my kids and I and Grandpa walked to the top - what a fun adventure!  Gwennie wasn't sure she wanted to but she did it anyway with some encouragement). It was pretty windy at the top, but loads of fun!  Glad we were able to  stop!

Star 4th of July Talent Show

Gwendalin and Hunter tried out for our City Talent show.  Gwendalin did a tap dance with her friend Elena and Hunter did a piano / vocal rendition of "My Country Tis of Thee"...they both did amazing!!!  I was so proud of them!  Gwendalin ended up making it in and Hunter didn't, but the lady was so sweet when she called - going on and on about how cute and wonderful Hunter was and please have him try out again next year!    I am just impressed that they both tried!  Way to go!!

Old, Tired, Spotted, & Happy

Dallin fell asleep between Travis and I on our bed the other night.  I snapped a shot and as I have looked at it I realize that I have aged significantly, my skin is blotchy from my last pregnancy, I have wrinkles, and I look so tired.  BUT....I love holding my baby and that makes the rest ok.

Activity Days

Our ward did a Mother/Daughter activity days activity that was all about "being the best you".  Gwendalin was thrilled when the lady (Sister Valle) said that she might cut some hair and immediately had me ask if she would cut side bangs (she's been wanting bangs For-ev-er! ) so I asked and she was willing and now Gwennie has side bangs. :)  She is thrilled.

Butterflies in Bloom @ the ZOO!

The zoo does this awesome butterfly exhibit once a year.  We went and the kids loved it.  You go into a little butterfly netted area and just stand still and watch them all flutter around you.  It was so fun.  Hunter had an amazing blue one land right on his back.  Dallin wasn't quite tall enough to attract any of them until Hunter held him so he was taller and then he got one to land on him.  So everyone was happy because at one point or another a butterfly landed on each of us.  So beautiful!

"Glopping"

The boys made "hot tubs" in the sand box the other night and boy was it messy....but they had such a fun time "glopping" each other with wet sand.  I love these boys.  Gwennie had already showered or I'm sure she would've been right in there with them.

An oldie but a goodie...

I found this picture in my scriptures the other night....it is when Travis and I were dating in high school approximately 16 years ago.  I remember it vividly...we were sitting in Lynn's room at my house talking to her.  Great memory!
