You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. some may be significant only to you. some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience. - President Hinckley

Christmas 2014

This year for Christmas Travis and I decided to make our summer vacation part of our kids’ Christmas present.  I made a puzzle that said what we were planning and where we were planning to go.  The kids each got to unwrap a few pieces each, with the exception of the piece that I had (the last one) that indicated the location of our trip : FLORIDA.   They had the entire thing together minus the last piece and they were begging for it.  Travis played it up very well.  He told them if they were good ALL DAY he would let them have the last piece….they were upset and cried out in outrage….his reply:  “I don’t see any of you rubbing my shoulders, or my feet….”  Within moments they were rubbing him down showing him how much they wanted the last piece of the puzzle.

He told them they could have it and while he placed it in the puzzle I took a picture of their priceless reaction.  They are so excited!  And so are Travis and I .  We can hardly wait until the end of July when we can go and do such a fun trip together.  All in part because we have the frequent flyer miles to get us there and back, rent our car, and get our sea world tickets….and we are staying with Travis’ brother Philip and his wife Carol.   We will be out the cost of food, Disney, Gatorland, and whatever other fun things we do, besides the beach, swimming at Philip’s, Universal Studios, etc.
