You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. some may be significant only to you. some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience. - President Hinckley

Service for GM & GP Carson

The "Carson" (my mom's family) reunion was planned during our Slade reunion so we made an appearance for a day and played with our cousins and family!  We were able to do a service project for Grandma and Grandpa at their house cleaning their yard and the inside so that it was more functional and taken care of - especially since they can't.  I think Grandpa really appreciated it although we were all very concerned at the level of his anxiety over all of us being there....at one point he just laid flat on the couch because I think he had had too much.  Grandma watched the men and kids cleaning the yard through her front window and just sat there saying "oh dear, oh dear..." over and over....it was darling.  She wasn't quite sure what to think of it all.  I worked inside with Lynn cleaning bathrooms (wow!) labor of love and worth every minute!  Grandpa had really cute things in his room and bathroom that Grandma could see every day - some of them years and years old but he kept them up for her nonetheless.
