New car...quite the story...

Travis had been looking for another car so that he could get better gas mileage than his dodge diesel truck.  We looked at a few and then I stumbled upon this one ...2011 Ford Focus with 27,800 miles on it....and they wanted $10,800.  Our limit was $10k.  We were on our way to go take a look at it and test drive it...we had Dallin with us (Travis was driving).  We were in the suburban and got to a rather busy intersection in Boise almost to our appointment.   Well, let me clarify,  one week earlier I was driving the suburban and it died, in the turn lane and I had to push it through the intersection into a dirt lot.  We had it taken and fixed (fuel pump) .  Okay, back to the story.  So we are at the busy intersection and it dies ....full on dies and we coast through the light and Travis has just enough coast power to get into a lot next to a building.  So, we are now late for our car appointment .  We decided to call a cab...so we waited for the bright green taxi to show up and pick us up.  And we called our insurance company and they towed the suburban to our auto guy to have it fixed....in the meantime, the taxi rolls up and Dallin, Travis, and I get in and go the next 2 miles to the guy's house to look at the car.  He was waiting for us on his porch and up we roll in a cab.  Yep, it was awesome.  We test drove the car and really loved everything about it.  We pulled the car fax on it only to find out that it had been totaled not once but twice and it was stolen once.  We told the seller and asked if he was firm on the price.  He said he was a "body shop" guy and had the car in and fixed the doors...but there was no other damage.  So, we told him we wanted it....and got out the door for the $10K plus tax.  Funny part is, he told us we had to meet him at his shop to buy it and sign papers. and Travis responded with "Bro, you saw me roll up in a taxi, I have to drive this car home and then I'll meet you at your shop."  good story....
