You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. some may be significant only to you. some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience. - President Hinckley

PinZ!!!

Grandma and Grandpa Chesley came to our house on Wednesday! We went to a play place on Thursday and got to bowl one game as a family... GM and GP didn't bowl - they watched....it was a blast! the kids loved it - well except for Hunter b/c he couldn't get into a very good groove and wasn't ever able to know all the pins down. He was very frustrated. The bumpers were awesome - they would come up on the kid's turns. and they have a new contraption that you set at the foul line so the little ones can just roll the ball down it and it has enough speed to get to the end of the lane. Good times were had by all!

Super sick!

We caught a "throw up" sick this last weekend. Dallin had it Friday night and I was up with him most of the night....he would puke about every 20 minutes for the first 5-6 hours and then it was sporadic. Gwendalin got it on Saturday night and then the rest of the kids ended up with it all day on Sunday. We had pulled a mattress out to the family room so that I could be up with the kids and not wake anyone up. I slept on it with Dallin that first night and then Gwendalin slept on it (while I slept on the couch next to her the following night) I went to church to lead the music in primary- since that isn't a calling you can quickly get a sub for. I didn't feel well - in fact, I was super nauseated and could feel this flu coming on, but I went and led and left. I ended up sick Sunday night and in bed all day on Monday. Luckily Travis was home for the most part on Monday and my neighbor also helped with the kids (she felt bad and thought her family was the family that shared it with us). It was no fun and we all just layed around and tried to be sick....Travis felt sick on Sunday night but never could throw up. We're just glad now that it's over!

Let's Go Fly A Kite!

Grandma and Grandpa Slade got some new kites! The other afternoon we tried to fly them. Too bad the wind was so sporadic that it didn't work too well and it ended up being GM and GP and myself trying to keep them up - which disappointed the kids since they couldn't hold them. Hunter tried a few days later (I don't have pictures) and got all 3 kites up with his friend Carson and loved every minute. As a result GM and GP ordered some "trick kites" so that we can attempt those next time we try. I love kites- I love when it's kite weather and I love that my kids have a chance to make memories with grandparents too!
