You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. some may be significant only to you. some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience. - President Hinckley

Loads of Pictures

My kids were messing with the camera a few days ago and we got a few candid shots...don't mind the one of me at the sink sporting my underwear because my pants were too low...that was un-intended....

We got a good snow this week and took the kids out on the sled pulled by the rhino. Towards the end we made them start wearing a helmet. I went for a little ride myself, but Lynn was driving and way too chicken....I didn't go very fast....but when I drove her for her turn.....it was turbo! We have had such a blast during this Christmas break. I love my family, immediate and extended. What a great support system. Anyway, here are a few pictures, there are a few of my kids bundled up and then on the sled and one of Lynn and Annabelle.

It's the Most WONDERFUL time of the year!

We had such a great Christmas! Lynn and Jake came from California with their Annabelle and (Sinatra - of course) and Scott and Brittany came from Arizona with their Jackson. We hung out constantly. I taught the girls about 'couponing' one afternoon. We went bowling, played the Wii that Santa brought to my mom and dad....(that was so fun!) Played in the snow, got too cold and had to wear grandma and grandpa's tee shirts, ate good food, and loved good company.

"Ho Ho" brought Tyler a big dinosaur and a few dinosaur movies (that he watched all week at grandmas on the small portable dvd player set up on the card table)...that's all he wanted and he ended up with 3! Hunter got a chess set, a nerf vulcan machine gun (which santa had loads of fun with on Christmas Eve), Gwennie got a microphone with speaker (she is our singer), and Dallin didn't care about anything he got.

Dad is not in any of these photos because he becomes head photographer when we all get together.... what great memories....I love it- wished it could last longer and we all lived closer.

Thanksgiving and a few December pics

We went to AZ for Thanksgiving and the kids loved playing at Grandma and Grandpa's house and seeing their cousins. Then, mid-December Larry and Judy came up here and stayed for a few days. These are just some of the pictures from those two events!

Christmas Card

I am a little poor this year and sent Christmas cards only to Aunts/Uncles, Siblings, and Grandparents. I am sorry if you are a cousin and didn't get one, but alas I am going to post it here so I can have it for my book of 2009 blog entries. Anyway, here's the picture and a copy of the letter I sent out.

2009 at the Chesley’s
Common things said from the year.

Mom: Go see what Dallin is doing.
Gwennie: Dallin is playing in the toilet.
Tyler: Mom, I want a big dinosaur.
Hunter: I’m finished with my chores and practicing karate and piano, can I go play?

Dad: Get a babysitter for date night on Friday.
Hunter: Mom, I’m going to play football in the front.
Tyler: Mom, see what I have in my pockets? (rocks, cars, legos, candy, dirt)
Gwennie: Hey dad you want to sing a song with me?
Dallin: splash…splash (in the toilet)
Hunter: Mom, I’m gonna go see what Nancy and Bill are doing.
Gwennie: Dad, look how beautiful my hair is.

Dad: C’mere Dallin get off the table.

A few of the boys

Here are just a few snapshots of Travis with Dallin ( he treasures these moments because Dally is a mama's boy), Dallin's favorite place to hang out (the top of the table, then he screams because he can't get down), and the Texas on his bed.

Gwennie...for Christmas

Below are pictures from 2 performances Gwendalin was in. One is a little singing group she participated in where they performed at the zoo....they did Christmas songs with actions. The other is her preschool performance...she was so pretty for that one and she said that she was indeed the prettiest one there. Anyway, here is the little doll!
