You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. some may be significant only to you. some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience. - President Hinckley

Almost Over....

I was dreading the summer to start, but surprisingly it's now almost over. We have swam at a pool on grandma and grandpa's porch, we have swam in the hot tub, we have run through sprinklers, we have family reunioned, we have played, played, played, and also had our share of some serious boredom....however it's been super fun! I loved having them all around and having no schedule. Being a mom is seriously such a ride! I am grateful for it....for the smiles they continually put on my face. Here's to summer! These are just a few pictures from the other night when we were playing outside. :) My kids are very inventive and very beautiful! I am a little biased.

The SPRINT!

I participated in a Sprint Triathlon on August 8, 2009 (Dallin's 1st birthday). It consisted of a 500M swim, 20Kbike, 5K run. It was about 53 degrees when it all began. I had gone only wearing the clothes I was competing in and I was freezing. This AZ girl has trouble with the cold. Anyway, mom and dad came up to the start and brought me some sweats to wear before I started. Thanks! Once they came off though I was nervous and still cold, Dad was rubbing my arms and mom was trying to warm my hands in hers. It was so crazy though as soon as I had to get in the water I was much warmer. My goal was to do it all in under 2 hours....and I did it, in spite of having to fix a low tire while on the bike part of it, and turning around during the bike part because I forgot my bib for the run. (Luckily mom and dad were still at the top and I had my cell phone. - I think I was the only competitor on my cell as I began the bike. :) I got a hold of them and they brought it down to the run start for me. It was a blast, I loved it all and will definitely do it again next year- but I will do it with a road bike instead of a mountain bike. My friend Lynn did it with me and she was so great to have there as well! So fun- so hard - so cold. I was glad for the cold when it came time to run though....whew!

So my times were this: (total with transitions was 1 hour 46 minutes)
Swim: 16:14
Bike: 56:01
Run: 29:13

1 Year!

This is who we like to call Dally Doodle. He turned 1 today! He is such a goof...we can't help but love his stinkin' guts. He is a walking machine- still getting the balancing down...but loves to do it whenever he can. He's a definate mama's boy...but loves to play with anyone who will play back. He loves cheetos, those baby cheese puffs, bananas, and fruit (he is not a vegetable fan - I have to mix them into the fruit to get them in his body...). Would you believe he is my 4t child and this is the first time I did the whole "cake thing" when one of them turned one....Oh well...better now than never. We love this Dally boy....he's a sweet one to have around and everyone here adores him! Happy birthday Doodle!

Tie your tooth...

Last Sunday Hunter had a very loose tooth. He had been trying to pull it out for a long time. He finally had enough and resorted to a method Travis had told him about. Travis never used this method, but Hunter thinks that he did. He found some dental floss and tied it to his tooth, then he found Gwennie and had her slam the garage door with the other end of the string attached to it. Travis watched the whole thing...I didn't but wish I did....apparently the tooth came flying once they got the distance and the slack in the floss worked out. It nearly took out Travis' eye! Anyway, he wrote the tooth fairy this note before he went to bed. He didn't get silver dollars, he got 2 regular dollars and the tooth fairy left him a small plastic container of orange glittery pixie dust....sometimes I really worry that the tooth fairy will not be on top of things...but she came trough this time!
